The next meeting for Photographers East will be held next Monday, June 10th, starting at 7PM in the Community Room of Bridgehampton National Bank, Snake Hollow Rd in Bridgehampton.
Chris Randall has been taking pictures since his father put a Kodak Brownie in his hands at age 7. He has not stopped creating since then. He will be presenting several bodies of work at our June meeting.
He is described as having the ‘eye of a photographer and the soul of a painter‘ with his remarkable ability to transform what is in front of the lens into images of striking beauty. Commenting on his ‘Suspended Search’ series, HudsonMod magazine wrote “ . . . this series reminds us of the unique beauty we overlook in the ordinary. This is photography at its finest.”
The ‘Suspended Search’ series exhibition, his second solo show in New York, is now on view through August at Atelier-NYC in The New York Design Center 32nd & Lexington. We have posted the show’s invitation under our Exhibits link. You can visit his website at http://www.chrisrandallshoots.com/.
His first New York solo exhibition, in 2009, titled ‘Greenpoint Lost And Found’ documents the declining and decaying industrial buildings alongside a neighborhood and waterfront where time had stood still; and is presented in his signature urban abstract style.
